Meet the OWNER

While young in terms of years since its launch, the history and inspiration behind RCG Building Solutions dates all the way back to the early 70’s. There’s a very good reason company founder Roberto Nini (Rob) is as comfortable on a construction site as he is in the boardroom. This second-generation contractor comes from a long line of craftsmen and entrepreneurs who taught him the value of hard work and imbued him with the sense that it isn’t enough to merely perform a craft trade but to strive to do it better than anyone else. As a young boy, he would accompany his father to jobs – where he loved watching things being built from the ground up.

Rob officially got his start in construction in his early years of labor on job sites for his father. He quickly worked his way up to carpenter’s helper – where he learned the importance of “measure twice, cut once” and started honing his skill as a perfectionist. 

In all the years since, his attention to detail and commitment to owner satisfaction have been integral to his success in construction. In 1998, he created his own company, Nini Building Contractors, which was strictly a union carpenter, employing over 100 carpenters to serve the northeast region. Later, Rob relocated to central Florida to create RCG Building Solutions.  

In the summer of 2022, Rob created the Truss Division, a wood truss factory that provides engineering design, fabrication, and delivery of wood floor and roof trusses throughout all of Florida and as far north as New Jersey. RCG Building Solutions LLC is a certified truss builder through Simpson Strong-Tie. 

Although Rob represents more than 30 years of experience of his own, he has assembled a team of skilled and seasoned industry professionals who embrace his corporate culture of uncompromising customer service, quality craftsmanship and community involvement. Today, RCG Building Solutions' private and public sector clients run the gamut from private families to medical centers, health clubs, and restaurants, to office fit-outs and multi-family. Regardless of the stature of the client or size of the project, Rob hopes that every job ends with a happy owner who enjoyed the process, is completely satisfied with the product delivered, believes their thoughts and ideas were incorporated in the end result, and felt RCG Building Solutions was always accessible, genuine, and professional.

Community involvement is extremely important to Rob. He encourages his team members to engage with local charities and programs on a personal level. From a company standpoint, RCG Building Solutions is proud to support a wide variety of organizations, local schools, and sports programs. When not working, you are likely to find Rob in the stands, where he supports his son in his quest to become an NCAA wrestling champion for UNC and represent Italy on the world stage. As a devoted husband and father to 6 (3 boys and 3 girls), he enjoys being active in their lives. In return, they play a very important role in Rob’s determination.
